We manage your name, contact number, e-mail when you use the contact form or e-mail to seek information on our services or when you subscribe to our product or services.

Information obtained on use of services

We gather information about your browsing activity to check whether the websites visited by users are whitelisted on Kisoq browser.

Payment and Billing Data

We collect transactional and billing data such as organization name and contact details when our services are purchased or subscribed.

Merger and Acquisitions: Information collected under this privacy policy may be shared or transferred in pursuance of any merger or acquisition of all or a portion of our business to another organization. In an event of such a transaction, you will be duly notified via email or a conspicuous notice on services and preferences you may have regarding your information.

Due Consent: Except as set forth above, you will be notified when your Personal Information may be shared with third parties.

Communications

The following emails are essential to ascertain fulfillment of our contractual obligations –

  1. Updates to Privacy Policy – Your consent may be required for future changes that may impact your ability to utilize services
  2. Payment Completion/Failure Notification – Payment confirmation or invoice is shared and in case of a failed transaction, the helpdesk team provides support.
  3. Expiration of Subscription and Account Validity – Updates the status of subscribed services and ensures effective utilization of services.
  4. Possible Data Breach – In case breach of data is detected, we are required by the Law to inform you about the incident.

Rights Protection

You have the right to exercise on how your information stored with us is shared, presented, and utilized. You can object the use of your information, request copy of your information in electronic format, request deletion of your account and all associated information.

The mechanism to exercise such controls are listed below, with limitations if any. You may need to contact your administrator or employer in case your account is managed by your employer.

  1. Unsubscribe from Emails – You may unsubscribe from our emails and promotional communications by clicking on the ‘Unsubscribe’ link at the bottom of the emails. You may be able to unsubscribe from receiving personalized emails from other companies who are members of the Network Advertising Initiative or who subscribe to the Digital Advertising Alliance’s Self-Regulatory Principles for Online Behavioural Advertising.   2. Data Management – Data Management allows you to retrieve information in a format that you can port from one service provider to another. Since there is no industry standard for data management and portability, some of your information falls under the purview of Data Management. You may request to receive copy of your data, and it will be provided to you in an electronic file format detailing your account information and the information created by you during the tenure of services or contract –

Notice to end users

All offerings (products and/or services) under Walt Energy Solution Pvt. Ltd. are intended for use by private and government enterprises. If your use of Kiosq services falls under the purview of an enterprise, for instance your employer, then the administration of services and responsibility of accounts or services under control lies with that enterprise or organization. The policies enforced by your administrator’s enterprise or organization may differ from Walt Energy’s privacy policy and we are not responsible for security practices and policies set by your organization.

Your service administrators can access and retain your account information, install or remove third party integrations and restrict or suspend/dismiss your access to services. Depending on your enterprise use and access to services, your administrator, if required – restrict your capacity to edit, modify or delete information and permanently suspend or terminate your access to services.

Children’s Information Protection

We at Walt Energy Solution Pvt. Ltd. have strict policy and standards which prevents our employees from collecting information from anyone under the age of 18, and neither do we allow access to our services to such an individual. In case such an incident is identified where a minor (any individual less than 18 years of age) has provided us with his/her personal information, it is permanently deleted from our systems. Please reach out to our support team in case you are informed of such an incident.

Kiosq Data Security

It is our constant endeavor to provide you with robust and reliable services that enables you to run your business with ease, without worrying about information collection and data security. The type of information collected and stored with us is detailed below for your easy reference –

Collected Information

Kiosq has access to the below listed services and information of your device to provide optimal services and additional functionality to match your enterprise needs –

  1. Details of device using services – Kiosq collects information such as Device Model, OS Version, IP & MAC Address, Time zone, Mobile Carrier Information etc. to identify duplicate and incompatible applications.
  2. Installed Application on device – Application Name, Version and Package Name are synced to our servers so they can made available to you on your Kiosq enterprise portal for enabling/disabling applications as required.
  3. SIM Details – Kiosq will collect SIM information like IMEI number. These details are provided to client account administrators as CSV export for device tracking and inventory management. IMEI numbers are useful for identifying security anomalies such as device tampering.
  4. Location Services – Features such as Geo-Fencing and visibility of enterprise device location coordinates are made available to the client’s portal by accessing Location services. Such features can be disabled from the Kiosq portal which will stop sharing of location and GPS data of device(s).
  5. Battery Information and Health – Device battery status is synced to our servers periodically and is utilized for notifying ‘Low Battery’ to administrators for enterprise managed devices.

Application Permissions

The Kiosq application will ask for the below permissions to function properly –

  1. Wifi and Network Information – Kiosq uses this information to determine status of network connectivity on a device and helps in remote management and configuration of Wifi on Kiosq portal.
  2. SIM Information – Information like IMEI is accessed by Kiosq and made available on the portal for management of devices by the administrators.
  3. Contacts Information – Kiosq does not sync contacts data to server and does not ready or modify device contacts.
  4. Application Usage Statistics – Kiosq requires this information to check for authorized and unauthorized applications on the device and to monitor data consumption by each application.
  5. Device Administrator – This permission is essential to configure security policies and to provide a secured interface to the users.
  6. Custom Notification Bar & Notification Service – The kiosq notification drop down prevents users from accessing device settings using device’s default notification panel and restricts them from deactivating essential services. Any actions pending for an app in Kiosk mode is made visible via symbol on the app icon. Please note that Kiosq does not read or sync notifications with the server.
  7. Bluetooth – This permission can be configured using Kiosq portal to allow or restrict data transmission between devices and also to allow syncing of Bluetooth based accessories with the devices.

Data Storage

Kiosq uses the following storage security protocols for enhanced security of the devices and information contained –

  1. Password protection by hashing.
  2. Location data is archived over time and is deleted as per request.
  3. All exchange of information is carried out using HTTPS only.
  4. All APKs are stored on Amazon Web Services S3 cloud bucket. The database stored on this server is fully encrypted.

 

Security Practice

The following practices are followed by the Kiosq Admin Team –

  1. Only authorized DevOps team has access to the production server barring all other Kisoq employees
  2. SSH Login security is enabled by an industry standard public/private key
  3. Firewall policies block all ports but 80 (HTTP) and 443(HTTPS), also there is restriction about incoming and outgoing traffic. All access is logged and monitored.
  4. We routinely apply OS Security patches as and when they are available (in some cases it may require some downtime)
  5. TLS is enforced in all communication across data centers.
